Guwahati: A Vande Bharat Express train en route to Gandhinagar collided with a bull near Atul railway station on Saturday.
This is the third such incident that occurred in October.
Following the incident, the train was detained for about 15 minutes as authorities investigated.
The collision that happened close to Atul Railway Station damaged the train’s nose cone.
The train struck four buffaloes the following day after hitting a cow outside Anand Station earlier in October, just a few days after its introduction.
Following past collisions, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw asserted that it is inevitable for trains to hit animals, and this was taken into consideration when designing the train.
