Ao Youth Unite: ALT Launched to Shape Nagaland’s Future

Mokokchung, Nagaland: A significant step towards empowering the Ao youth of Nagaland was taken with the official launch of the Ao Lanur Telongjem (ALT) under the guidance of the Ao Senden. The new organization aims to play a pivotal role in shaping the community’s future and contributing to the state’s overall development.

The ALT will initially operate under an interim leadership structure, with the presidents of the Mokokchung Town Lanur Telongjem (MTLT) and Dimapur Ao Lanur Telongjem (DAYO) serving as convener and co-convener, respectively. This interim setup will continue until the organization’s constitution is finalized.

During the launch event, Ao Senden president Marsanen Imsong emphasized the crucial role of the youth in shaping the community’s destiny. He underscored their potential to drive positive change and contribute to the progress of Nagaland.

To formalize the organization’s structure, a constitution-drafting committee, headed by Imlikumzuk Longkumer, has been formed. Additionally, MTLT and DAYO have been tasked with mobilizing other youth organizations to participate in the interim phase.

The interim leaders, Imnaonen (convener) and Tia Longchar (co-convener), expressed their dedication to serving the Ao community and Nagaland with honesty and integrity. They pledged to work tirelessly to fulfill the organization’s objectives and aspirations.
