Guwahati, 20th February: The Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) has inaugurated a Quick Response Team (QRT) under the leadership of party president Bhupen Borah.
The QRT’s formation aims to ensure swift action in urgent situations until the party formulates a comprehensive response, narrative, or counter-narrative. It will promptly address potential conflicts or controversies as directed and offer crucial insights on relevant state issues to both APCC and AICC.
The proposed members of the newly established Quick Response Team include Bharat Ch. Narah, Pranatee Phukan, Shibamoni Bora, Nabajyoti Talukdar, Deep Bayan, Mira Borthakur Goswami, Gopal Sarma, and Abdul Aziz.
The creation of the Quick Response Team coincides with the Assam Congress grappling with internal strife, leading to several defections in recent times.
