Guwahati: App-based cab aggregators like Ola and Uber services in Guwahati of Assam have been suspended due to cab drivers’ unmet demands.
The decision has been taken after a day-long protest by the All Assam Cab Workers Association at the Uber office location in Mathgharia on Saturday.
Reports state that association employees protested after the accounts of over 1500 drivers were immediately and without warning cancelled.
The protesting drivers declared that unless their demands are granted, they will not give services to the general public.
Moreover, the protesters urged the government to release new apps for its services.
