Guwahati: In a shocking incident, an army jawan was arrested for allegedly raping a minor girl in Basistha area of Guwahati.
The incident occurred from the army barracks located in Basistha area of the city.
The accused jawan identified as Prince Pandey.
According to reports, Pandey sexually assaulted the daughter of a havildar stationed at the camp.
Reportedly, Pandey committed the crime while the girl was home alone.
Following the occurrence, Pandey was detained and a case was filed against him in accordance with the pertinent POCSO Act provisions.
