Army Lance Naik Dies in Tragic Sikkim Accident
Gangtok, Sikkim: In a somber turn of events, a young Indian Army soldier, Lance Naik Rinku Singh, lost his life in a tragic accident while on duty in the challenging terrain of Sikkim. The incident, which occurred two days ago at TR Junction in the Kupup area, involved a road construction machine that Singh was operating. According to official reports, the concrete machine malfunctioned and went out of control, leading to the fatal mishap. The 29-year-old soldier succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
Hailing from Namol village in Punjab’s Sangrur district, Lance Naik Rinku Singh was a dedicated soldier serving his nation. He is survived by his parents and an elder brother. The family has been notified of his untimely demise, and arrangements are being made to bring his mortal remains home.
This unfortunate incident echoes another recent tragedy that befell two brave jawans in Jammu & Kashmir. In a separate incident, CRPF jawans Arvind Kumar and Anando Koch met their end when their vehicle reportedly skidded off a road in Udhampur and plunged into a deep gorge. Both soldiers were on active duty when the accident occurred. These consecutive losses serve as a grim reminder of the immense sacrifices and perils faced by our armed forces while safeguarding our country and its infrastructure.
