Guwahati: In a tragic incident, an Army Aviation Cheetah helicopter was reported to have lost contact with the Air Traffic Control (ATC) at around 09:15 on Thursday while conducting an operational sortie close to Bomdila, Arunachal Pradesh.
The Indian Army reports that the aforementioned helicopter which was carrying two military personnel is believed to have crashed near Mandala, west of Bomdila.
Meanwhile, search teams have been launched in the site.
