Arrests Made in Connection with Rashtriya Rajput Karni Sena Chief’s Murder
National Desk, 10th December: In a joint operation, the Delhi Crime Branch and Rajasthan Police successfully apprehended two shooters and an associate linked to the killing of Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi, the chief of Rashtriya Rajput Karni Sena.
The operation, carried out in Chandigarh during the late hours, resulted in the arrest of Rohit Rathore and Nitin Fauji, with the involvement of a third individual named Udham currently under verification.
While Rohit and Udham were transported to Delhi by Delhi Police, Nitin Fauji is being held by Rajasthan Police.
The suspects reportedly hid their weapons and moved from Rajasthan to Hisar in Haryana, then to Manali in Himachal Pradesh, before returning to Chandigarh, where they were ultimately apprehended.
A reward of Rs 5 lakh had been announced for information leading to their arrest. The police tracked the accused by monitoring their mobile phone locations.
Dinesh MN, the head of the Special Investigation Team (SIT) and Additional Director General (Crime), confirmed the arrests, with formal registration expected on Sunday. The investigation into the murder of Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi continues.
