Artificial Flooding Disrupts Traffic And Daily Life In Guwahati

Guwahati: Guwahati, the smart city, is facing a chaotic environment due to artificial floods caused by heavy rainfall. Various parts of the city, including Hatigaon, Sixmile, Panjabari, Satgaon, Rukminigaon, Lamb Road, East Sharanya, Silpukhuri, Bamunimaidam, and Chandmari, are severely affected.

Minister Jayanta Mallah Baruah took to the streets to assess the situation, traveling on a scooter and bike to understand the flood conditions in Rukminigaon and other affected areas. His efforts demonstrate the government’s concern and commitment to addressing the issue.

The continuous rainfall has left Guwahati city inundated, causing disruptions to daily life. The artificial floods have brought the city’s infrastructure to a standstill, highlighting the need for effective measures to mitigate the impact of such incidents in the future.
