Arunachal: 14 NSCN Rebels Lay Down Arms in Longding
Guwahati: A total of 14 cadres from various National Socialist Council of Nagaland (NSCN) groups have surrendered their weapons at Longding district in Arunachal Pradesh.
It should be noted that the Changlang, Tirap, and Longding districts are notorious for serving as safe havens for militants from various groups.
Ten of the 14 rebels belonged to the NSCN’s Isak-Muivah (IM) faction.
The main extortion acts that the NSCN rebels engaged in were on behalf of their separate organisations.
Numerous rebels from various insurgent groups in the North-eastern region have recently given up and re-joined society.
