Arunachal: Active NSCN (K-YA) Cadre, 2 Overground Workers Arrested In Changlang

Northeast Desk, 18th November: In a significant operation, Assam Rifles successfully thwarted an infiltration attempt by apprehending one active cadre of the NSCN (K-YA) faction along with two overground workers in Arunachal Pradesh’s Changlang district. The apprehension took place at the Indo-Myanmar border in the Jairampur circle of Changlang.

The security forces not only detained the NSCN insurgent but also seized a substantial amount of Rs 5,60,000 in cash and other war-like stores from their possession. The operations were a part of the ongoing efforts to curb insurgent activities and maintain peace and security in the region.

In a statement released on platform X, Assam Rifles highlighted their success, stating, “#AssamRifles prevented infilt of Insurgents for procurement of War-like stores by apprehending one active insurgent of NSCN (K-YA) and two Overground Workers along with ₹5,60,000/- black money and other stores at Indo Myanmar Border in Jairampur circle, Arunachal Pradesh.”
