Arunachal Announces Major Administrative Reshuffle
Northeast Desk, 11th July: In a significant administrative overhaul, the Arunachal Pradesh government has announced several key appointments and transfers, as per a notification issued by Chief Secretary Dharmendra.
Talo Potom, currently the Deputy Commissioner of Upper Subansiri, has been appointed as the new Deputy Commissioner of the Itanagar Capital Region (ICR). Potom succeeds Shweta Nagarkoti, who has been reassigned as the Deputy Commissioner of the newly created Keyi Panyor district.
Arunachal Pradesh Civil Service (APCS) officer Ibom Tao, awaiting a new posting, has been appointed as the Secretary of the state Human Rights Commission.
In a notable promotion, Tasso Gambo, currently serving as the Additional Deputy Commissioner of Yomcha, has been elevated to the position of Deputy Commissioner of Upper Subansiri district.
Bopai Puroik, Joint Secretary of Puroik Welfare, has also been promoted to the role of Deputy Commissioner of the newly formed Bichom district.
Furthermore, Dilip Kumar Chutia, currently the Additional Resident Commissioner in Guwahati, has been transferred and appointed as Joint Secretary to the Chief Minister.
Anu Singh, an officer of the Indian Corporate Law Service (ICLS) previously serving as Special Secretary of Monitoring and Evaluation, has been reassigned as the Officer on Special Duty (OSD) in the office of the Divisional Commissioner (West).
The reshuffle aims to streamline administrative efficiency and enhance governance across various districts and departments in Arunachal Pradesh.
