Arunachal: APPSC Unveils New Examination Hall Ahead of Crucial Mains Exam
Itanagar: The Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) has marked a significant step towards enhancing its examination infrastructure with the inauguration of a state-of-the-art examination hall at its office complex. This newly constructed facility is set to play a pivotal role in the upcoming APPSCC (Mains) Examination 2024–25.
The swift completion of the three-story structure, housing an impressive 18 separate halls, was made possible through the collaborative efforts of the state government and the Public Works Department (PWD). This expansion will significantly boost the Commission’s capacity, providing comfortable seating for over 1,400 candidates.
Equipped with modern amenities, the new examination hall boasts central cooling, superior lighting arrangements, comprehensive CCTV surveillance, easily accessible washroom facilities, and the inclusion of lifts to ensure convenience for all examinees. These features underscore the APPSC’s commitment to providing a conducive and fair environment for its candidates.
Addressing the media regarding the preparations for the highly anticipated Mains examination, APPSC Secretary Parul Gaur Mittal announced that the crucial tests are scheduled for April 6, 7, 9, and 10, 2025. The examinations will be conducted across both the newly inaugurated and the existing APPSC buildings. To ensure the integrity and smooth execution of the process, senior government officials have been appointed as Observers and Coordinators.
Secretary Mittal further detailed the comprehensive security arrangements in place, including the deployment of an adequate number of male and female security personnel for thorough frisking and maintaining law and order. Additionally, traffic police will be strategically positioned to manage vehicular flow around the examination venues. Candidates have been strongly advised to meticulously adhere to the guidelines provided on their Admit Cards and to arrive at their designated centres well ahead of time to complete all necessary pre-examination procedures.
The formal inauguration of this significant infrastructure upgrade took place on April 4, graced by the presence of APPSC Chairman Prof. (Dr.) Pradip Lingfa. Also in attendance were esteemed Commission Members Col. (Retd.) Koj Tari, Rosy Taba, Jalash Pertin, and Secretary Parul Gaur Mittal, IRS, alongside dedicated officials from both the APPSC and the Public Works Department.
