Northeast Desk, 23th September: The Ayushman Bharat Bike Yatra was flagged off today at the Civil Secretariat in Itanagar, kicking off Ayushman Pakhwada to celebrate Ayushman Diwas. The event, launched by Mohesh Chai, Advisor to the Health Minister, alongside Health Secretary Krishna Kumar Singh, aims to raise awareness about the Ayushman Bharat healthcare scheme.
During the launch, Chai emphasized the scheme’s success in providing health coverage of up to ₹5 lakh for millions of families. He acknowledged existing healthcare challenges, including specialist shortages, but reassured that recent public service exams will help fill vacancies. Chai also announced plans to establish a dedicated cancer hospital in Arunachal Pradesh and urged citizens to adopt healthier lifestyles to combat cancer risks linked to lifestyle choices.
