Arunachal: BJP Expels Office Bearers and Panchayati Raj Members in Pakke Kessang District for Anti-Party Activities

Northeast Desk, 2nd May: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has taken decisive action against several office bearers and Panchayati Raj members in Pakke Kessang District, Arunachal Pradesh, following their alleged involvement in activities detrimental to the party’s interests during the recently concluded Assembly and Parliamentary elections held on April 19, 2024.

Despite repeated notices and directives, the accused members failed to demonstrate compliance with party regulations, prompting the BJP’s high command to initiate disciplinary measures against them.

The individuals implicated in the anti-party activities, including Denesh Nyari, Madap Nabam, Dobum Taluk, and Yalar Kino, were found to be actively campaigning for the NCP candidate, a clear violation of the BJP’s constitution under Article XXV.

In response, the BJP has expelled these members from the party for a period of six years, effectively revoking their primary membership, active status, and all associated responsibilities within the organization.

Similar disciplinary action has been taken against district office bearers such as Kuli Techi, Gingma Tok, and Amit Nabam, among others, who were also found to have contravened party guidelines. They too have been expelled from the BJP with immediate effect, facing the same six-year ban from party activities.

The BJP’s stringent response underscores its commitment to upholding party discipline and ensuring loyalty among its members, particularly during critical electoral periods. The expulsion serves as a deterrent against activities deemed detrimental to the BJP’s electoral prospects and organizational integrity in Pakke Kessang District.
