Arunachal Chief Minister Launches Public Initiative for Budget Suggestions

Northeast Desk, 5th July: In a move aimed at fostering transparency and inclusivity, Chief Minister Pema Khandu of Arunachal Pradesh has initiated a public engagement campaign to gather suggestions for the state’s upcoming fiscal year budget.

Chief Minister Pema Khandu, in a recent statement on social media, called upon the people of Arunachal Pradesh to actively participate in shaping the economic and developmental policies of the state. The initiative aims to ensure that the budget for the fiscal year 2024-25 accurately reflects the genuine needs and aspirations of its citizens.

“We humbly urge sisters and brothers of Arunachal Pradesh to share their suggestions to be incorporated in the State Budget for the fiscal year 2024-25,” Chief Minister Khandu stated.

Citizens are encouraged to submit their suggestions through the dedicated portal arunachalbudget.in, providing a platform for diverse voices to contribute. This initiative underscores the state government’s commitment to fostering a participative and inclusive approach to governance and budgeting.

Highlighting the state’s progress in governance and infrastructure development, Chief Minister Khandu reaffirmed the government’s dedication to continuing this trajectory by actively seeking inputs from all segments of society.

The deadline for submitting suggestions is July 11, 2024. Additionally, the top three suggestions deemed most impactful will be awarded Rs 50,000 each, aiming to incentivize substantive contributions from the public towards shaping Arunachal Pradesh’s future.

This initiative marks a significant step towards engaging citizens in the policymaking process, ensuring that the state budget aligns closely with the priorities and aspirations of the people of Arunachal Pradesh.
