Arunachal Chief Minister Pema Khandu Assesses State’s Disaster Response Readiness

Northeast Desk, 4th July: Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu conducted a comprehensive review of the ongoing disaster situation in the state during a video conference held from Tawang. Joined online by Advisor to the Minister of Disaster Management, Nakap Nalo, and Chief Secretary Dharmendra from Itanagar, CM Khandu closely assessed the damages incurred across various critical sectors.

The review primarily focused on evaluating the impact on state and national highways, roads, drinking water supply, power infrastructure, availability of food and medicine, and personal property. CM Khandu directed all departments to maintain a high level of vigilance and proactivity until September, stressing the unpredictable nature of the monsoon season. He emphasized the readiness of response teams to handle any potential eventuality, ensuring preparedness even in areas currently unaffected by disasters.

CM Khandu assured that the state government machinery would work tirelessly to ensure the safety and well-being of all residents during these challenging times.
