Arunachal CM Pema Khandu Congratulates Taekwondo Champions
Northeast Desk, 4th August: Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu extended his congratulations to Kyorugi competitors Tarh Nikam and Rakhe Sumpa for their outstanding performances at the 7th National Cadet Kyorugi Taekwondo Championships 2024, held in Visakhapatnam. Both athletes clinched gold medals in their respective categories.
Tarh Nikam, hailing from Kurung Kumey district, won the gold medal in the under 53 kg Kyorugi event. Rakhe Sumpa triumphed in the 37-51 kg Kyorugi category, bringing pride to the state.
CM Khandu took to the microblogging site X to commend their achievements. He wrote, “Congratulations to Tarh Nikam from Kurung Kumey district on winning Gold in the under 53 kg Kyorugi event at the 7th National Cadet Kyorugi Taekwondo Championships 2024 in Visakhapatnam!” For Rakhe Sumpa, he posted, “Moment of pride as Rakhe Sumpa of Arunachal Pradesh has won Gold in the 37-51 kg Kyorugi category at the 7th National Taekwondo Championship.”
The accolades highlight the dedication and skill of Arunachal Pradesh’s young athletes, contributing to the state’s growing reputation in national sports.
