Arunachal CM Pema Khandu Extends Greetings on Si Donyi Festival, Highlights Harmony with Nature
Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu extended his heartfelt greetings to the people of the state on the occasion of Si Donyi, a festival celebrated for its reverence of the harmony between humanity and nature.
Taking to the microblogging platform X, CM Khandu highlighted the cultural and spiritual significance of the vibrant festival, celebrated by the Tagin tribe.
In his message, CM Khandu lauded the festival for preserving the rich cultural heritage of Arunachal Pradesh and fostering spiritual unity across the state. “This iconic festival reflects the deep cultural heritage so religiously preserved by the Tagin Tribe and the spiritual unity of our state, symbolising peace and well-being for all,” he said. He urged everyone to embrace the spirit of inclusivity and harmony, wishing for divine blessings to bring prosperity, joy, and peace to the people.
In addition to his festival greetings, CM Khandu held discussions with Inspector General of North East Frontier, Amitabh Gupta, on critical issues related to security along the international border. The talks encompassed border security measures, the Vibrant Villages Programme, agreements for promoting local produce, and polyhouse cultivation at Border Outposts (BOPs).
The discussion also emphasized strengthening ties with local communities, a move seen as integral to ensuring both security and inclusive development in border areas. CM Khandu reaffirmed the state’s commitment to fostering peace, prosperity, and collaboration across all fronts, aligning with the values celebrated during Si Donyi.
