Arunachal CM Pema Khandu Inaugurates Key Infrastructure Projects Worth Rs 70 Crore in Itanagar

Northeast Desk, 2nd February: Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu inaugurated three vital projects, totaling around Rs 70 crore, in the capital city, Itanagar. The projects include a double-lane steel arch bridge at Borum, a Bypass Road from Pappu-Nallah bridge point to Sood, and a composite bridge over the Pachin River connecting the railway station.

Launched in the presence of MLA Techi Kaso, Advisor to PWD Min Phurpa Tsering, and Commissioner PWD Kaling Tayeng, IAS, these projects play a crucial role in easing traffic congestion in the Itanagar capital complex. With a total of seven bridges in progress in the Capital Complex Area, the infrastructure is being strengthened.

Chief Minister Pema Khandu announced plans for additional road development, including a 30 km double-lane highway connecting Naharlagun Railway Station and Donyi Polo Airport. This initiative aims to ensure a smooth flow of commuters from the railway station to the airport. The completion phase of CC pavements across the capital region was also highlighted.

Furthermore, Chief Minister Khandu revealed plans for a ropeway in Itanagar, intending to enhance traffic flow in the Capital Complex Region. He expressed the government’s commitment to creating a more efficient and accessible Itanagar for all residents.
