Arunachal CM Pema Khandu Praises Indian Air Force on 92nd IAF Day

Northeast Desk, 8th October: On the occasion of the 92nd Indian Air Force (IAF) Day, Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu lauded the courage, professionalism, and precision of the nation’s air warriors. In a heartfelt message shared on social media, Khandu expressed his admiration, stating, “Sashakta, Sudridh, Aatmanirbhar! On #IndianAirForceDay, I salute the valour, precision, & professionalism of our air warriors who keep our skies safe and secure.”

Khandu highlighted the IAF’s formidable fleet, which now includes indigenous aircraft such as the Tejas and the Light Combat Helicopter, symbolizing India’s growing self-reliance in defense. He emphasized that the Indian Air Force embodies the nation’s strength, resilience, and commitment to Atmanirbhar Bharat (self-reliant India).

In the lead-up to the IAF Day celebrations, an air show was held at Chennai’s Marina Beach on October 6, drawing a large crowd. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin, Deputy CM Udhayanidhi Stalin, and Air Chief Marshal AP Singh were present for the event. Spectators were treated to breathtaking aerial maneuvers by Sukhoi Su-30MKI fighter jets and Sarang helicopters, which showcased the IAF’s skill and operational readiness.

For the first time in 21 years, Garud Commandos also displayed their prowess in Chennai, underscoring the IAF’s focus on modernization and readiness. With the theme “Bharatiya Vayusena: Saksham, Sashakt aur Aatmnirbhar” (Indian Air Force: Capable, Empowered, and Self-Reliant), the event celebrated the IAF’s commitment to self-reliance and national defense. Despite the hot weather, a crowd of both young and old eagerly watched the performance, as 72 aircraft participated in the spectacular event.
