Arunachal CM Pema Khandu Takes Governance to the Grassroots with “Cabinet Aapke Dwar” Initiative
Itanagar: In a significant move to decentralise governance, Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu chaired the inaugural “Cabinet Aapke Dwar” meeting in Nyapin, Kurung Kumey district.
This innovative initiative aims to take governance beyond the state capital, ensuring direct engagement with people in remote areas.
Accompanied by fellow Cabinet ministers, the Chief Secretary, and senior government officials, CM Khandu observed the progress of various development initiatives firsthand and interacted with the people to better understand their aspirations. By doing so, the government seeks to bridge the gap between the administration and the local population, fostering a more inclusive and responsive governance model.
Emphasising the importance of inclusive governance, Khandu assured that his government would continue conducting Cabinet meetings across the state to assess local realities. Furthermore, he announced that special development initiatives would be launched in areas where these meetings are held, aiming to bring direct benefits to the local population. This commitment to grassroots governance is expected to have a positive impact on the lives of people in Arunachal Pradesh.
