Arunachal CM visits Dalai Lama in Mcleodganj
Northeast Desk, 6th September: Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu visited the Dalai Lama in McLeodganj, Himachal Pradesh, today to participate in special prayers organized by the people of Tawang for the Tibetan spiritual leader’s long life. The five-day prayer ceremony, which began on September 3, will conclude tomorrow, September 7, with the Dalai Lama set to join the prayers.
CM Khandu expressed joy over the Dalai Lama’s improved health, stating, “His health has improved a lot. So, we also pray for the long life of His Holiness. This morning, I had a very good discussion with His Holiness, and on behalf of the people of Arunachal Pradesh, I have invited him to visit our state. He kindly accepted, and in the coming days, he will definitely visit Arunachal Pradesh.”
The Dalai Lama recently returned from the United States, where he underwent medical treatment for his knees. Despite health concerns, his office confirmed that he is recovering well and will resume regular engagements soon.
