The rally was organized to commemorate the Indian Air Force’s 92nd anniversary and pay tribute to the bravery of India’s armed forces, particularly those who fought in the 1962 Sino-Indian conflict.
The rally, which started on October 1, 2024, covered over 7,000 kms across nine states and union territories, including Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal, and Assam, before reaching its final destination in Arunachal Pradesh.
The rally aimed to honor the sacrifices of brave soldiers and encourage youth to join the Indian Armed Forces.
As part of the closing events, Singh will lead the flag-down ceremony at Tawang’s Advanced Landing Ground (ALG), accompanied by Chief Minister Pema Khandu and other dignitaries. The program will also include a tribute to Rifleman Jaswant Singh Rawat at Jaswant Garh, who displayed heroic resistance during the 1962 war.
