Northeast Desk, 29th July: In a decisive move to enhance safety and promote family-friendly public spaces, the Itanagar Police have intensified their efforts to tackle public nuisances. This initiative includes increased patrolling of IG Park and other popular areas.
During a recent patrol, authorities detained thirteen individuals found consuming alcohol and engaging in disruptive behavior at IG Park. These individuals were apprehended under Section 126 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) and were issued stern warnings to refrain from such activities in the future.
The Capital Police have urged Itanagar residents to avoid consuming alcohol in public spaces, reiterating their commitment to transforming IG Park into a safe and welcoming environment for families.
