Arunachal: Leparada Launches Intensive Immunization Drive Targeting Universal Coverage

Itanagar: The remote district of Leparada in Arunachal Pradesh witnessed a pivotal moment in its public health journey with the commencement of Special Vaccination Campaign 3.0.

The event, held at Todak Basar District Hospital, marked a determined push towards achieving comprehensive immunization coverage for the region’s vulnerable populations.

Nyabi Jini Dirchi, the esteemed Member of the Legislative Assembly for Basar-Tirbin, formally inaugurated the initiative, underscoring its critical role in safeguarding the health of children and pregnant women. The campaign, a directive from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, is designed to eradicate preventable diseases through widespread vaccination.

In her address, MLA Jini passionately appealed to the community, imploring parents and guardians to actively engage in the vaccination drive. She stressed that the campaign presented a vital opportunity to fortify the health of future generations, ensuring their protection against debilitating illnesses. “As we strive for a healthier future, I urge all parents and caregivers to take advantage of this opportunity to have their children immunized. The campaign will continue until the 23rd of this month, so please make sure to participate,” she declared.

MLA Jini extended her heartfelt appreciation to the dedicated healthcare professionals who are the backbone of the campaign. She acknowledged the tireless efforts of the District Medical Officer, Senior Medical Officers, doctors, nurses, ASHA workers, and the entire medical staff, recognizing their unwavering commitment to the community’s well-being. Furthermore, she pledged her ongoing support for enhancing the district’s healthcare infrastructure, reinforcing her dedication to securing a healthy future for Leparada’s children.

The Special Vaccination Campaign 3.0 is scheduled to continue its vital work until March 23rd, with authorities making a concerted effort to maximize participation and achieve widespread immunization coverage across the district.
