Arunachal: Major drug raid busted in Daporijo, 4 arrested

Daporijo: In a major breakthrough, Daporijo police arrested four individuals during a raid on a suspected drug den in ALC Colony on October 8. The operation, led by DSP (HQ) Gamli Loyi and Inspector J Wangsa, Officer-in-Charge of Daporijo Police Station, took place around 5 PM, uncovering substantial drug-related evidence.

The suspects, identified as Dabin Mara (26), Jemar Ayiang (24), Palty Gusar (21), and Constable Hongwang Kungma, were found in possession of suspected heroin, syringes, and other drug paraphernalia. The raid, conducted under the supervision of Magistrate C K Namchoom, resulted in the recovery of two syringes containing traces of blood, four unused syringes, 120 empty vials, and several tobacco containers.

A case has been registered against the suspects under Sections 21(a)/25/27 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act at PS Daporijo. Police are continuing their investigation into the matter.
