Arunachal: MLA Nyabi Jini Dirchi Commends Leparada’s Health Facilities, Pledges Support for Repairs
Itanagar: Basar MLA Nyabi Jini Dirchi undertook a comprehensive tour of health institutions in the Leparada district on Friday, as part of the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” initiative. Her visit focused on understanding the ground realities of healthcare delivery, with a particular emphasis on the Health & Wellness Centre and the Sub-Centre at Padi.
During her inspection, the MLA was notably impressed by the exceptional standards of cleanliness and hygiene at the Padi Sub-Centre. She lauded the healthcare staff for their exemplary efforts, which she noted were the reason behind the facility’s recent achievement of the coveted Kayakalp Award for 2023–24. “This award is a testament to the tireless dedication of our healthcare workers and their unwavering focus on hygiene, quality, and service to the community,” the MLA stated, highlighting the commitment of the staff.
However, her visit also brought to light a critical issue: the ageing infrastructure of the sub-centre. The building, constructed over a decade ago, is in urgent need of structural repairs and maintenance. Taking note of the situation, the MLA promised to offer personal support to ensure that interim maintenance work can be carried out without delay, showcasing her commitment to the facility’s upkeep.
The MLA also took the opportunity to personally acknowledge and thank the frontline workers for their outstanding contributions. She singled out Miss Toyir Gadi (HWO), Miss Ringngam Riba (ANM), and Jumli Nyorak (RFW), praising them for setting a high benchmark for public health delivery in rural Arunachal Pradesh. This blend of community outreach and administrative oversight was well-received by both local residents and the healthcare staff, who expressed their appreciation for her visit.
