Northeast Desk, 23th September: In a successful operation, Naharlagun police apprehended two bike lifters early on September 23 while they were stealing an Avenger motorcycle. The suspects, Alal Uddin Ahmed (22) and Nobi Hussain (20) from Laluk, Assam, were caught red-handed as they tampered with the bike’s wiring and broke the key.
This swift action underscores the police’s vigilance in combating the rising issue of vehicle theft in the area. Both accused are now in custody, and an investigation is ongoing to determine if they are linked to a larger bike-lifting syndicate operating in the region.
