Arunachal: NCP Announces Second List of Candidates for State Assembly Elections

Northeast Desk, 20th March: The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) Arunachal Pradesh unit has unveiled its second list of candidates for the upcoming Assembly election on April 19.

With the release of nine candidates’ names on Tuesday, the party has now nominated a total of 17 candidates for the 60-member Assembly. The first list, comprising eight candidates, was announced earlier on March 11.

The newly announced candidates include Toko Tatung for the Yachuli constituency, Tahan Mibang for Rumgong, Kabang Taron for Tuting-Yingkiong, Tapi Gao for Pasighat West, Likha Soni for Lekang, Nikh Kamin for Bordumsa-Diyun, Yangsen Matey for Khonsa West, Jowang Hosai for Borduria-Bogapani, and Holai Wangsa for Pongchau-Wakka constituency.

Among the candidates previously announced, Likha Saaya, the party’s state unit president, will contest from Namsai constituency, while former minister Tapang Taloh will represent the Pangin-Boleng constituency.

Sanjay Prajapati, the NCP’s coordinator cum observer for North East states, highlighted the party’s manifesto, which aims to bring prosperity to the people of the state, uphold their indigenous identity, and provide a robust education system.
