Arunachal: Notorious Drug Peddler Nabbed in Successful Police Operation

Northeast Desk, 28th May: The Banderdewa Police, under the leadership of Inspector Kipa Hamak and Sub-inspector Koj Tada, achieved a significant breakthrough with the arrest of a notorious drug peddler. The apprehended individual, identified as 23-year-old Diljan Pegu, was taken into custody on May 27, 2024.

Dubbed “OPERATION DAWN,” the police team executed a swift and efficient operation that resulted in the seizure of approximately 22.06 grams of suspected contraband heroin from Pegu’s possession.

Following his arrest, a significant commercial quantity of suspected contraband heroin, weighing around 22.06 grams, was recovered from Pegu’s possession.

In adherence to the strict provisions of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, a criminal case has been registered at the Banderdewa Police Station against the accused individual, signaling a decisive step in the legal pursuit of justice against drug-related crimes.
