Arunachal Officials Chosen to Officiate at World Para Athletics Championships
Itanagar: In a landmark achievement for the northeastern state, four technical officials hailing from Arunachal Pradesh have been selected by the Paralympic Committee of India (PCI) to take on officiating duties at the highly anticipated 2025 World Para Athletics Championships.
Their selection comes on the heels of their successful engagement in the World Para Athletics Technical Official Seminar cum Examination, a rigorous program held at New Delhi’s Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium from May 2nd to 4th. This accomplishment signifies their newly acquired international qualification, empowering them to contribute their expertise to the global sporting spectacle slated to unfold in New Delhi from September 26th to October 5th, 2025.
The distinguished individuals chosen for this prestigious role are Techi Sonu, Lemkhul Mossang, Bagang Tania Natam, and Tana Yahe. Their selection represents a historic moment for Arunachal Pradesh, marking the first instance the state will be represented by internationally certified para technical officials.
This significant milestone not only elevates Arunachal’s presence on the global para sports stage but also underscores India’s dedication to ensuring the upcoming championships are executed with the highest standards of accuracy and professionalism.
