Arunachal Police Crack Down on Crime: Three Arrested for Theft and Burglary
Itanagar: In a significant blow to criminal elements in Itanagar, the Naharlagun police have arrested three individuals linked to several theft and burglary incidents in the area. The arrests were part of an intensified crackdown on crime, aimed at ensuring the safety and security of residents.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Lokap Bagang, Nikhil Barman, and Tayu Taku. Bagang, a 35-year-old resident of Chayangtajo, Seppa, East Kameng, was arrested for targeting sick patients at TRIHMS, Naharlagun, and stealing money while they were asleep. Barman, a 24-year-old resident of Cooch Behar, West Bengal, was arrested for committing daytime burglaries and entering homes with the intent to assault occupants using a lethal weapon. Taku, a 23-year-old resident of Michawa, Seppa, East Kameng, was arrested for his involvement in multiple cases of motor vehicle theft, burglary, and housebreaking in Naharlagun.
The police have urged the public to remain cautious when purchasing second-hand items, as these could be stolen property. Citizens are advised to report any suspicious activities immediately to the police to assist in curbing criminal activities in the region. Further investigation into the matter is ongoing, and the authorities have vowed to continue their efforts to keep the city safe from criminal elements.
