Northeast Desk, 19th January: Arunachal Pradesh mourns the loss of Police Inspector Sochi Don, the Officer-in-Charge at Seppa police station in East Kameng district.
The 37-year-old officer met with a fatal road accident on Thursday evening while returning from field duty.
The incident occurred around 10 pm when Don’s self-driven police department’s Mahendro Bolero veered off near Tata Tara village on NH-13, leading to his immediate demise.
Eyewitnesses reported the incident, and despite prompt police arrival at the scene, the officer’s lifeless body was found inside the vehicle.
Inspector Sochi Don, survived by his wife and child, will be transported to his hometown in Daporijo, Upper Subansiri district.
The tragic accident has left the community in sorrow, awaiting further details about the incident.
