Arunachal Police Suspect Possible Involvement of Black Magic in Ziro Tourist Death

Northeast Desk, 4th April: The Ziro police in Arunachal Pradesh have put forward a hypothesis suggesting that a triple death case in a hotel may be linked to black magic and occult practices. However, this assertion is pending confirmation.

During a press briefing, Keni Bagra, the Lower Subansiri superintendent of police, disclosed that a suicide note was discovered in the room where the three bodies were found. The note conveyed, ‘We are very happy and we know where we are going.’ Additionally, a contact number found in the suicide note led authorities to a man who claimed the deceased were his daughter and son-in-law.

The man asserted that his daughter and son-in-law were engaged in paranormal activities, though this statement is yet to be verified. Bagra noted that all evidence was collected from the scene with the assistance of a forensic expert.

Subsequently, the bodies were transported to TRIHMS for post-mortem examination following consultation with the Lower Subansiri deputy commissioner. A case under 174 CrPC was registered due to the suspicious nature of the deaths. It was discovered during the investigation that a missing persons report for one of the deceased had already been filed in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala.

Bagra mentioned that apart from a broken tea table glass, no signs of struggle were evident on the bodies. However, deep cuts were observed on the right wrists of two women and the left wrist of a man. CCTV footage revealed no suspicious activity.

The Ziro police are exploring all possible angles, including the deceased’s connections in Ziro and why they selected Ziro as the location for their apparent suicide. They are coordinating with Thiruvananthapuram police for further investigation. A Special Investigation Team, led by DSP and comprising five officers including OC and IO, has been assembled to probe the case.
