Northeast Desk, 9th November: In a proactive move to address the drug crisis in the state, Arunachal Pradesh Police is set to launch “Operation Dawn.” This initiative aims to tackle the drug menace comprehensively and positions the police as mentors for the youth.

“Operation Dawn” goes beyond mere law enforcement and includes awareness campaigns and interactions with young people to motivate and guide them. The focus is on reducing both the demand and supply of drugs through stringent law enforcement measures while also engaging the youth in a positive manner.

To enhance the impact, the police will collaborate with relevant agencies to assess and ensure harm reduction. Chief Minister Pema Khandu has been actively campaigning against drugs for the past two years, indicating a strong commitment to addressing the issue.
