Arunachal Pradesh: Abductors Demand Rs 60 Lakhs for Safe Return of Kidnapped Brothers
Northeast Desk, 5th November: In a harrowing incident, the abductors of two brothers, Katwang Wangham and Wangtai Wangsu from Kamhua Noksa village in Arunachal Pradesh’s Longding district, have issued a demand for a ransom of Rs 60 lakhs to secure their release.
The kidnapping took place on October 29, orchestrated by militants. Reliable sources have revealed that a leader of the NSCN (Ang Mai) made contact with a family member to convey the ransom demand.
As the situation unfolds, the family and concerned villagers have initiated personal efforts to bring the abducted brothers back safely. Simultaneously, security forces are vigorously pursuing various avenues and conducting relentless operations to ensure the brothers’ safe return.
Sources indicate that the abduction was masterminded by Self-Styled Maj. Gen. Somchai Konyak and carried out by a five-member group led by the listed cadre Self-Styled Sergeant Major Wanglem Wangsu.
