Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu inaugurated the fourth edition of the Arunachal Pradesh Entrepreneurship Development Program (APEDP 4.0) on National Startup Day 2025. The initiative, aimed at empowering young entrepreneurs, offers significant seed funding and incubation support to encourage innovative business ventures in the state.

The programme, held at the Arunachal Pradesh Innovation & Investment Park (APIIP), seeks to transform the youth from job seekers into job creators. Under APEDP 4.0, the top 10 selected startups will receive ₹5 lakh each in seed funding, while the next 40 ventures will be awarded ₹4 lakh each.

Selected entrepreneurs will undergo a nine-month incubation period at APIIP, where they will receive mentoring, business development support, and access to networking opportunities. The application process involves submitting innovative ideas through the state’s startup portal, followed by evaluation and pitch presentations before a jury panel. Interested entrepreneurs can apply at startup.arunachal.gov.in before the February 28, 2025, deadline.

This initiative underscores Arunachal Pradesh’s commitment to fostering local innovation and entrepreneurship. By combining financial assistance with hands-on guidance, the programme marks a shift towards entrepreneurship-led growth, aiming to nurture a generation of job creators and advance the region’s economic development.
