Arunachal Pradesh Enhances Women’s Safety and Governance with Innovative Measures

Northeast Desk, 17th June: Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu has reaffirmed the state’s commitment to development and governance excellence with a focus on bolstering women’s safety. Taking to Twitter, he announced the expansion of Pink-Patrolling initiatives through the deployment of Pink Control Room (PCR) vehicles equipped with advanced communication and surveillance systems. These vehicles will patrol key areas, ensuring swift responses to incidents impacting women’s safety and promoting gender equality across the state.

Additionally, during the inaugural session of the 8th State Legislative Assembly, the Governor underscored the government’s priority on law and order. The session marked the enactment of three new criminal laws aimed at enhancing legal frameworks and ensuring citizen security:

  1. Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita: This law establishes a comprehensive legal framework to uphold justice and fairness in Arunachal Pradesh. It emphasizes the importance of a robust judicial system in safeguarding citizen rights and ensuring accountability.
  2. Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita: Designed to bolster citizen safety and security, this legislation strengthens law enforcement agencies and implements effective crime prevention strategies.
  3. Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyams of 2023: Focusing on education and awareness, this law aims to empower citizens through knowledge dissemination, fostering a more informed and educated society.

These legislative reforms reflect the state government’s proactive stance toward governance, emphasizing legal reforms that prioritize the safety and well-being of residents. The implementation of these laws is anticipated to significantly contribute to the overall security and development of Arunachal Pradesh, reinforcing its commitment to progressive governance and societal welfare.
