Arunachal Pradesh Government Announces Major Bureaucratic Reshuffle
Northeast Desk, 26th September: The government of Arunachal Pradesh has implemented a wide-ranging bureaucratic reshuffle involving several high-ranking officials across key departments. The restructuring aims to inject new energy and perspectives into various administrative functions to enhance efficiency and governance.
Among the notable changes, *Mimum Tayeng, previously the Secretary of Women and Child Development, has been appointed as the new Secretary of Parliamentary Affairs, replacing *SD Sunderasan.
Nyali Ete, who held the role of Secretary of Urban Development, Housing, and Town Planning, has been assigned as a member of the Arunachal Pradesh Staff Selection Board (APSSB). Despite the new appointment, Ete will continue to serve as the Secretary of Information and Public Relations (IPR).
Meanwhile, *Krishna Kr Singh, the current Health Secretary, has taken over as APSSB Secretary, succeeding **D Varma. In a key health-related move, *Ira Singhal, previously the Deputy Commissioner of Tirap, will now serve as the Health Secretary.
The reshuffle also impacts district administration: *KN Damo, former Director of Tourism, will assume the role of Deputy Commissioner of Lohit district, replacing *Shasvat Sourabh, who transitions to the role of Transport Secretary.
Additional changes include appointments of JT Obi as the new Kamle Deputy Commissioner and Techu Aran as Tirap Deputy Commissioner, alongside several other shifts within district-level administration.
This reshuffle is seen as an effort by the state government to bring new perspectives and bolster administrative performance in critical sectors.
