Arunachal Pradesh Government Reshuffles Police Administration, Transfers Three IPS Officers

Northeast Desk, 9th December: Arunachal Pradesh government has implemented immediate transfers and postings for several senior police officers, an official notification said. 

In this reshuffle, three IPS officers and four Arunachal Pradesh Police Service (APPS) officers witnessed changes in their assignments across different districts in the northeastern state.

Tumme Amo, the Superintendent of Police (SP) in Longding, a district affected by insurgency, has been shifted to Aalo in West Siang district, taking on the role of Commandant of the 2nd Arunachal Pradesh Armed Battalion (AAPBN).

Concurrently, APPS officer Dekio Gumja, the former Commandant of 2nd AAPBN-Aalo, now assumes the position of SP in Longding, as per the order issued by Chief Secretary Dharmendar.

R P Meena, who held the position of SP in Kamle, has been reassigned as an officer on special duty to the Director General of Police (DGP).

Additionally, IPS officer S Prabhu Desai, who was awaiting posting, has been appointed as SP (Crime), according to the official announcement.
