Arunachal Pradesh Governor Calls on Ex-Servicemen to Continue Serving Society at Veteran Sainik Sammelan

Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt Gen KT Parnaik (Retd) urged ex-servicemen to continue contributing to society and national progress during the 10th Veteran Sainik Sammelan of the 2nd Battalion of the Rajputana Rifles in Bhiwani, Haryana. Addressing the gathering on Sunday, Parnaik emphasized that while veterans have dedicated their lives to securing the nation’s borders, their mission does not end with military retirement.

He called on ex-servicemen to leverage their skills, discipline, and sense of duty to promote justice, transparency, and equity in governance. The governor encouraged them to take on leadership roles within their communities, guide the younger generation, and raise awareness about key issues.

Highlighting the significance of motivating youth to join the Indian Armed Forces, Parnaik called it “one of the most honourable professions.” He also spoke about various welfare programs and self-employment schemes designed to support ex-servicemen in their post-military lives.

The event concluded with Parnaik meeting veterans and officers of the 2nd Rajputana Rifles, reminiscing about their shared service.
