Arunachal Pradesh Poised for Massive Investment, Development Surge Under Modi’s Vision, Scindia Affirms at Guwahati Summit

Itanagar: Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, addressing the Arunachal Pradesh Legislators Prashikshan Shivir in Guwahati, declared that Arunachal Pradesh is rapidly advancing towards a “Viksit Bharat” (Developed India) under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The three-day training camp, attended by Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu, BJP State President Kaling Moyong, senior BJP leader V. Muraleedharan, and Assam Cabinet Minister Ashok Singhal, was described by Scindia as an “ideological awakening” for the BJP, India’s largest political force.

Scindia, who is overseeing the development of all eight North Eastern states, expressed his honour in the role bestowed upon him by PM Modi, and commended the visionary leadership of Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP President J.P. Nadda, and National General Secretary (Organisation) B.L. Santosh. He revealed that the upcoming Rising North East Investment Summit, scheduled for May 23–24 in New Delhi, is projected to attract investments ranging from ₹2.5–3 lakh crore for the region, with Arunachal Pradesh alone expected to receive an influx of ₹80,000 crore to ₹1 lakh crore.

Highlighting the region’s remarkable 12–13% GDP growth rate, which surpasses the national average, Scindia detailed significant infrastructural advancements in Arunachal Pradesh, including the construction of 4,285 km of highways, the operationalisation of four airports during his tenure as Civil Aviation Minister, and the extension of railway connectivity to Itanagar.

In a strong message on national security, Scindia referenced Operation Sindoor and reiterated Prime Minister Modi’s assertive stance against terrorism, stating, “Goli ka jawab gole se milega” (A bullet will be answered with a shell). He underscored the government’s commitment to providing robust and timely responses to all threats.

Scindia also spoke on India’s growing global stature, noting its recent ascent to become the world’s fourth-largest economy, surpassing Japan. He emphasized that India’s rising profile is not only economic but also spiritual, as it promotes the philosophy of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam.

Reflecting on the North East’s historical significance as a global trade gateway, Scindia expressed confidence that India is on the path to reclaiming its past glory. “Centuries ago, we contributed nearly 25% of global GDP. With PM Modi’s leadership, that era is returning,” he asserted.

The Union Minister further touched upon critical areas such as women empowerment, digital transformation, and lessons learned from the COVID-19 pandemic, praising the BJP’s organizational strength and grassroots commitment. He concluded by reaffirming Arunachal Pradesh’s pivotal role in contributing to a self-reliant and developed India.
