Arunachal Pradesh Police Engages in Community Outreach Programme in Niti Vihar
Northeast 10th July: The Arunachal Pradesh Police conducted a comprehensive community outreach programme in Niti Vihar, aiming to strengthen ties with residents and enhance security measures in the area.
Led by Deputy SP Kengo Dirchi, SDPO Itanagar, and Inspector T Tasso, OC Niti Vihar PS, the programme commenced with foot patrolling from Punchali to Kola Camp, covering a distance of 4 km. This initiative included participation from concerned ward members and local youth, focusing on sensitizing and inspecting all sensitive and hotspot areas within Niti Vihar, including Mahatma Gandhi Park.
A key highlight of the programme was a mass awareness meeting held at Mahatma Gandhi Park, where stakeholders gathered to voice their concerns and grievances to the police. Participants were urged to collaborate in efforts to combat drug-related issues and maintain the park’s cleanliness and safety.
SDPO Kengo Dirchi expressed appreciation for the proactive involvement of ward members and youth in the community policing efforts. He emphasized the importance of ongoing public support and cooperation in ensuring crime prevention and effective handling of criminal cases in the area.
The outreach programme underscored the Arunachal Pradesh Police’s commitment to fostering a safer and more secure environment through community engagement and collaborative efforts with local residents.
