Arunachal Pradesh Recognizes Top Citizen Budget Proposals at Felicitation Ceremony

Northeast Desk, 24th July: The Arunachal Pradesh government recently honored three outstanding citizen suggestions for the 2024-25 state budget during a felicitation ceremony led by Chief Minister Pema Khandu. This event underscored the significance of public involvement in the budgeting process.

The top three proposals, chosen through the Jan Bhagidari (People’s Participation) initiative, are:

  1. Youth Mission for Clean River: A project aimed at revitalizing the state’s waterways.
  2. Arunachal Pradesh Women’s Welfare Society: An initiative focused on advancing gender empowerment.
  3. Boken Jempen: A campaign dedicated to fostering a cleaner, greener environment.

The ceremony also introduced a new online platform, arunachalbudget.in, designed to improve transparency and public engagement in the state’s financial planning.

The Jan Bhagidari initiative remains a key element of Arunachal Pradesh’s strategy to foster participatory governance and ensure that development efforts reflect the priorities of its citizens.
