Arunachal Pradesh Taekwondo Team Shines at 38th National Games, Clinches Four Medals

Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh’s Taekwondo team delivered a stellar performance at the 38th National Games 2025, securing a total of four medals, including two golds in Poomsae events. The athletes showcased exceptional skill and synchronization, solidifying the state’s growing dominance in martial arts.

Leading the charge, Khinsan Wangsu claimed gold in the Female Individual Poomsae, delivering a performance that captivated judges and spectators alike. The women’s team further cemented their supremacy as Radha Bangsia, Lumter Uli, and Achum Sangha displayed flawless coordination to clinch gold in the Female Group Poomsae.

Adding to the medal tally, the mixed pair of Rikpy Nyodu and Miching Taja secured silver in the Mixed Pair Poomsae, while the men’s group, comprising Akash Kumar Ram, Miching Taja, and Kame Bayang, earned bronze with their commendable display of precision and technique.

Chief Minister Pema Khandu lauded the team’s remarkable achievement on social media, extending congratulations to the athletes and their coaches. Acknowledging the contributions of coaches Atli Nisso, Ranjit Biswakarma, and Tarak Dotang, he emphasized their role in shaping the success of Arunachal Pradesh’s Taekwondo contingent. “Congratulations to our Taekwondo team for their outstanding performance,” Khandu wrote, celebrating their dedication and excellence on the national stage.
