Arunachal Pradesh Unveils Ambitious 2025-26 Budget, Prioritizing Human Capital and Economic Growth
In a significant move towards comprehensive development, Arunachal Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein presented the state’s budget for the fiscal year 2025-26 before the 4th session of the 8th Arunachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly on March 10th. This fiscal plan is structured around four fundamental pillars: investing in people, infrastructure, economy, and innovation, designed to propel the state towards a sustainable and prosperous future.
The budget designates 2025 as the “Year of Human Capital,” underscoring the government’s commitment to empowering its citizens. This emphasis on human development is coupled with strategic investments aimed at bolstering the state’s economy and fostering a culture of innovation. A key highlight of the budget is the introduction of the SEE Trinity initiative, a comprehensive program focused on Skill, Employment, and Entrepreneurship. This ambitious project seeks to generate over 25,000 job and self-employment opportunities by the year 2029.
The SEE Trinity initiative is designed to cultivate a vibrant ecosystem that enables the state’s youth to participate actively in the economy. By providing the necessary skills, employment opportunities, and entrepreneurial support, the government aims to equip young people with the tools they need to thrive in a dynamic and competitive market.
Beyond human capital, the budget allocates substantial resources to infrastructure development, acknowledging its critical role in enhancing connectivity and accessibility across Arunachal Pradesh. These investments are intended to lay the groundwork for future economic growth and improve the quality of life for residents.
Innovation forms the final cornerstone of the budget, with a focus on supporting emerging technologies, modernizing the education system, and establishing a robust framework for research and development. This emphasis on innovation is seen as vital for driving long-term progress and ensuring that Arunachal Pradesh remains at the forefront of development.
