Arunachal Pradesh’s eOffice Initiative Garners Praise from Chief Minister Pema Khandu

Northeast Desk, 22nd May: Arunachal Pradesh’s eOffice initiative continues to make significant strides, earning praise from Chief Minister Pema Khandu for its milestone achievements in enhancing governmental operations.

Expressing his delight on the microblogging platform X, Chief Minister Khandu commended the eOffice initiative for its role in fostering transparency, efficiency, and accountability within the state’s administration. He remarked, “I am so delighted to see our eOffice initiative logging one after another milestone, helping us enhance transparency, efficiency, and accountability within governmental operations.”

Highlighting the initiative’s impact on governance, Khandu underscored its ability to strengthen public trust by digitizing workflows and enabling electronic file management. He emphasized that by minimizing bureaucratic delays and reducing the scope for corruption, eOffice has become instrumental in reinforcing public confidence in governance. He extended his gratitude to everyone involved in driving the comprehensive eOffice reform.

Providing insights into the initiative’s reach and effectiveness, Chief Minister Khandu shared that eOffice is operational in various government offices, including the Secretariat, Directorates, District Headquarter offices, and select Block offices. Currently, with 827 offices onboard, Arunachal Pradesh ranks first in e-file usage among states and 11th in e-file usage nationwide.

Furthermore, he disclosed impressive statistics reflecting the initiative’s utilization, with 13,006 accounts created, 1,72,322 e-Files generated and moved 45,20,928 times, and 8,64,923 e-receipts generated and moved 1,93,07,984 times. These figures underscore the widespread adoption and efficiency of the eOffice system in streamlining administrative processes and promoting digital governance across Arunachal Pradesh.
