Arunachal: Prof. Pradip Lingfa swears in as newly appointed chairman of APPSC
Northeast Desk, 21st January: Prof Pradip Lingfa, formerly a professor of Mechanical Engineering at the North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology (NERIST), officially took on the role of Chairman at the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC). The oath-taking ceremony, conducted at Raj Bhawan and administered by the Governor, marked this significant transition.
Although Prof Lingfa’s appointment had been announced on December 12, the oath-taking was delayed due to pending release procedures from NERIST, where he previously served. In his statements to the media, Prof Lingfa articulated his strong commitment to restoring the functionality and credibility of the APPSC.
Emphasizing his dedication, Prof Lingfa outlined plans to streamline the recruitment process and effectively address the varied demands of different organizations. Tame Phassang, the Mayor, lauded the appointment, expressing confidence in Prof Lingfa’s leadership to revive the Commission’s prestige and ensure impartial examinations.
Mayor Phassang praised Prof Lingfa’s qualifications, recognizing his potential to uplift the Commission and bring about positive change.
