Northeast Desk, 24th October: Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on October 24 arrived in Tawang of Arunachal Pradesh, with the purpose of inspecting forward areas and taking part in Shastra Puja on the occasion of Vijayadashami.
Upon his arrival in Tawang, the Union Defence Minister engaged with the deployed security personnel in the Tawang sector. He also laid a wreath and paid his respects to the courageous warriors at the Tawang War Memorial.
During his visit, Rajnath Singh received a briefing from Army personnel regarding the defense facilities along the India-China border at Bum La in Arunachal Pradesh. Furthermore, the Defence Minister is scheduled to participate in the evening’s Shastra Puja alongside the dedicated security personnel.
